Abstract

Jewish Studies (Chinese) is the only academic collected papers on “Jewish” in China. Since its inception in 2002, it has been deeply involved in the academic career of the Jewish Studies in China for 20 years. Jewish Studies has always been to promote the interaction between Chinese and the Jewish culture and intercultural dialogue as its principle and goal, and it has provided professional exchange platform for the Jewish Studies in China, published a large number of articles on the Jewish thought, Jewish Classics, Jewish History, and the Chinese and Jewish relations. In this sense, Jewish Studies has witnessed the developments and prosperous of the Jewish Studies in China. By comparing the published articles of Jewish Studies in the last 20 years and the achievements of the Jewish Studies in China with those of international Jewish Studies, we expect to make new breakthroughs in such related fields, including Rabbinic Literature and History, Jewish Liturgy, Jewish Mysticism, Jewish tradition and modern society, social science research methods and Jewish Studies, Jewish literature and arts in new forms and perspectives, and the cultural exchange and mutual learning between Jewish and Chinese. In order to cooperate with the academic progress of the Jewish Studies in China effectively, Jewish Studies continuously promotes the publication form to keep pace with the times. Jewish Studies is willing to join hands with academic colleagues and make unremitting efforts to build the Jewish Studies in China that can not only access the forefront of international Jewish Studies, but also fully manifest its Chinese characteristics.
